Located near Warren along the Wisconsin/Illinois border, this deck girder bridge crosses an old alignment of Illinois Highway 78.
Built in 1923, the bridge represents an early grade separation project on Illinois highways. The bridge features a single deck girder span, set onto concrete abutments. The girder contains a ballasted deck.
Girders like this were commonly used as underpasses, due to the ease of construction. The highway underneath was rerouted in 1993, primarely to ease the curve that the old route took.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
